Straight from European tours with Blood Command, comes vocalist and songwriter Nikki Brumen to AKKS Bergen to share inspiration and creative tools for you who want to develop yourself as a songwriter and artist. The course is in English.

Nikki Brumen is an Australian songwriter and vocalist with a long career in the hard rock scene who currently plays in the punk band Blood Command. This summer, Nikki together with Blood command released the album Praise Armageddonism which got 5 in Stavanger Aftenblad and Klassekampen, and the band was on tour together with Kvelertak this spring.
Before coming to Norway, and Blood Command, she played in the legendary Australian band Pagan, a band that combined black metal, disco and punk rock. In other words, Nikki is a versatile artist in terms of genre who has many good tips and experiences to share with the participants about songwriting.
About the course
The songwriting course runs over two days where we will work with simple tools and methods in songwriting. During the course, our aim is to inspire the participants, give you the tools to develop new songwriting ideas and exchange experiences between the participants. Nikki will share her experience with songwriting, how she finds inspiration to start the songwriting process and how to finish a song. The course will be in English.
Prior knowledge
The course does not require any previous knowledge, but if you have written one or more songs before, it is nice if you bring this with you. The course is suitable for both vocalists and musicians who play guitar, piano, make music on a PC, and the like.
