Available courses
- Vocal, instrument, band, DJ and music production courses typically run over 5 or 8 weeks and are suitable for everyone over 14 years.
- Workshops: suitable for those who want to get acquainted with a music theme in a day or two.
- Band school for girls: Suitable for girls, trans youth and non-binaries between 13-19 years who want to live, breathe and eat music!
- LOUD: band camps during the autumn and winter holidays, as well as summer camps. Suitable for girls, trans youth and non-binary * between 7-18 years (age group may vary between different LOUD camps).
Courses to fight gender imbalance in music
AKKS works for better gender balance in music. Girls and women, as well as genders who are underrepresented in music are given priority in our courses.
Discounts on the course fee?
We do not want finances to stand in the way of being able to attend our courses, so when we are able we will try to give participants who need it a discount. Participants with limited finances can apply for a discounted course fee, according to the “pay what you can” principle. Apply for a discount by checking the registration form when you sign up, and then explain briefly why you are applying, and what you may have the opportunity to pay. As a general rule, we do not support discounted places on one-on-one tuition, only group courses. All applicants will be contacted by e-mail with notification if we have the opportunity to give a discount or not. You need to be a member of AKKS to be eligible for this offer. Membership costs NOK 50.
