What is AKKS?<\/strong>
\nAKKS is a nationwide, ideal music organisation offering instrument courses, band courses and rehearsal spaces, as well as concerts with both professional and up-and-coming bands and artists. Are you a future rock star? Or maybe you’ve always dreamed of playing in a band? At our courses you can try out a new instrument, learn to write your own songs, learn how to perform on a stage, play together with others, be taught by professional musicians and have fun with music.<\/p>\n

Where is AKKS?<\/span><\/strong>
\nAKKS Oslo is located on Brenneriveien 9 in a colourful street at Gr\u00fcnerl\u00f8kka between the concert venues Bl\u00e5 and Vulcan.<\/span>\u00a0This is where our rehearsal rooms are, and here we offer our courses and workshops with inspiring teachers who themselves are performing artists, producers, technicians and music business professionals.<\/span><\/p>\n

Why does AKKS exist?<\/span><\/strong>
\nAKKS works for a more balanced gender distribution in every part of the music industry.<\/span> The purpose is to recruit, motivate and promote women in all parts of the music industry.<\/span> AKKS a co-founder of <\/span> the Balansekunst project<\/a>.

AKKS has worked to improve the gender balance on the Norwegian music scene since 1982.
